Duke Realty Corporation Supplier Diversity Policy Statement
Duke Realty Corporation recognizes the importance of supplier diversity and is committed to ensuring that it is an integral part of our strategic sourcing and procurement processes. It is our policy to offer certified minority, women and disabled veteran-owned business enterprises (M/WBE-DVBEs) the maximum practicable opportunity to compete, on an equal basis, with all potential and existing vendors to supply Duke with materials and services. We are committed to developing mutually beneficial relationships with these business enterprises and thus contribute to the economic vitality of the minority business communities in our markets.
It is Duke Realty’s policy that all minority businesses be certified as M/WBE-DVBEs by either the National Supplier Development Council (NMSDC), the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) or a local or state government certifying agency.
Supplier Diversity Statement of Support and Commitment
Duke Realty Corporation is committed to diversity in the workplace. We have worked hard to create an environment that recognizes and values the differences that exist between people. Associates are encouraged to understand the differences and use them to maximize their contributions. Positive results have been seen in better identification with our entire customer base. We feel as though we are a leader in our industry in this important undertaking.
A commitment to Supplier Diversity will also enrich our company, our Associates and our customers. By reaching out to qualified small, minority and women-owned businesses we enlarge the pool for good ideas and high–quality goods and services while enhancing economic opportunity. These businesses are generally innovative and entrepreneurial in nature, just like us. By engaging in mutually profitable business relationships, Duke Realty will benefit from fully participating in the diverse dynamics that underscores the American economic system.
Duke Realty is committed to building a high performance culture that reflects the diversity of the communities in which we do business. We want to share our success by working with historically underutilized businesses in those communities. In addition, many of our customers have goals for supplier diversity. Our involvement can only help them achieve their goals, strengthen these relationships and expand our base of potential customers.
We recognize that increasing the selection and participation of small, minority and women-owned businesses will require extra effort on all of our part. It is important that every area contribute by supporting the Supplier Diversity effort that is being led by corporate procurement
